I think that a lot of frustration and painful rejection that men experience these days comes from this level of confusion in what they believe women really want in a man.

There are so many places on the web that will give you conflicting advice. For example, one will tell you that it's always great to smile when you are around women, while another will tell you not to smile at all since women like "bad boys".

It seems like most of this confusion is because men are trying very hard to be a certain "type" rather than focusing on the innate characteristics that create powerful attraction in any woman.

Yes, it is true that women will prefer different kind of men, but they are ALL looking for these three traits in a man. Once you have this foundation down, then you can change how you convey them in a subtle manner to attract different types of women (if that is what you want, my personal opinion on the topic is that I don't change who I am for any woman).

Trait #1: They Want the Leader

While some women will date the "followers" in a group, it is important to note that these men are NEVER their first choice. Most times they will date a follower is because they think they can fix him, or if they haven't had any luck with the men who are leaders.

Either way, the follower is the second option. There is no way around that fact.

You need to be the leader of your social circle. And if you are having a difficult time becoming THE one that everyone looks to make decisions (ie. where to sit when you enter a lounge), then you can also seek to become one of the leaders.

They key to this is always having a say. Do not be one of those guys that "doesn't care" and "goes with the flow" when your friends are trying to decide where to go for the weekend.

Trait #2: Be Assertive

Women want a man who gets things done. You would not believe how many guys are all talk these days. Sure, they will talk a big game, but when it comes to execution they are lackluster and never accomplish close to what they say.

Get things done. If you say you are going to do something, then make sure you do it.

This goes the same for women. It is always a good thing to be a little forward with a woman you are interested in. She will respect you for it, because she knows that Alpha men take what they want rather than standing around and waiting for it to come to them.

Trait #3: Ambition

Women want a man who is consistently moving his life forward. He has set lofty goals for himself, and he is working his behind off to achieve them.

Remember, in life results are the only thing that matters. Women love to see a man who is getting results.

Now, I am not saying that you need to be rich or a rock star to get the sexiest women, but you do need to be able to communicate that you are on the path to making a reality out of your vision.
