Men and the Madonna Complex

It has been said that many men have the Madonna complex. The Madonna complex is the idea that men want both the virginal, sweet woman and the daring woman all combined into one. Many may argue that this is not achievable.

This is because many people feel that the traits that both of these types of women are so radically different. However, it can be argued that every woman has both a little bit of angel and a little bit of devil inside of her. In fact, the Madonna complex is a compelling look at the fact that many men want women who have well-developed and varied personalities.

This is the type of woman that a man would want to settle down with. She is the homemaker, the devoted wife, the loving mother and a caretaker of all. She makes home cooked meals, she makes people feel better when they're sick and she is the shoulder to cry on. She is the sweet, caring woman that any man would want to marry. It is understandable why men would want a woman to possess many of these traits. The angelic, pure Madonna, the mother comes to mind when one thinks of these traits in a woman.

However, it is also very apparent that what men want in women is a certain amount of excitement as well. This is where the Madonna the singer and bad girl image comes into play. Men want to be with women that are exciting and intriguing. These are the types of women that are interesting, vivacious any electrifying. They may possess a considerable amount of sex appeal. These types of a woman may be very self-confident and happy with whom they are as a person. The interesting fact about these types of women is that some of them may not be the type that a man would consider settling down with. She may be the "good time" girl that in some cases makes her great for dating but not necessarily for mating.

For as extremely different as these two types of women are, this is in many ways exactly what man want from women. Some women may find that living up to these two very different personalities is difficult. However, this is not necessarily true. It is quite possible for women to embrace both of these sides of themselves so that the men in their lives can have the sexy, vivacious, caring, nurturing women that they desire.
